Can't wait...

I ordered some books a few weeks ago.

Just received a conformation email that my books are on their way! Suddenly the weekend is taking a longer time to end this time :-P

Behold!!!!!

Don't you just LOVE fiction? They don't make you worry.

poetry book

bought this through LeoBooks. I love the fact that it was a hard cover & really cheap. PLUS - it comes with a CD with the poem selected in the book, narrated by a few celebrities. If you're a teacher & don't think that you can narrate very well, this is a good book to add in to your shelf. Brief & easy explanation about the poet & the selected poem, and some recommendation of other good poems from the same poet.

And I'm just overwhelmed that my favourite : Edgar Allan Poe's Annabel Lee is one of the selection :-))

But whenever I hear John Lithgow's voice, I always think of Lord Farquaad...... long pause.

under new management

never get too comfortable, especially when you are in a very puny position.

Somebody up there might just spring out of bed one morning and decide to spoil somebody's day. And the bad thing is? Yup, YOU could be the chosen one.

So just kick off with a blast of "Moves Like Jagger" on the way home and somehow God will open a window whenever he closes a door.

weekend

a weekend is supposed to be when you get time-off from work. Instead, i am dripping with sweat trying to accomplish the satisfaction of a so-called 'owning my own place & keeping it to look like a place I call home' mission.

Not subscribing a cable channel to this place is probably a good idea because I don't trust myself with house chores once I got a clicker in my hands. When I do, it'll be..."there goes my weekend".

Living room? done.
Room? done.
Laundry? halfway. The dryer is still spinning.
Cat's bath? probably tomorrow.
Breakfast? what breakfast?
PC area? ..........long pause, no answer.

Ignorance is bliss? Naahhhh.... and now the dryer's stopped spinning. Now where's the iron?

makan

everyone deserves to get a piece of sarcasm every now then. I believe a little sarcasm could bring down the egoism rate that somehow manage to 'grow' within you. You deserve a little slap on the face once in a while, just to remind you of yourself not to go beyond the borderline. And to me, this little slap is best given by someone very close to you, because if its from someone else - well, that's not going to help the rate go down, it's just gonna make things worse.

But somehow.....(this is where the-normal-part-of-being-a-human comes)
The 'slap' should be timely though. As being that person who is close to you, they should know you better when should a 'slap' is given. Just before going for a meal is definitely not the right time!

Stupid.

Now tell me, how this is suppose to make my day?

adapting

New town.
New place.

I'm not even sure about moving here is even a good idea in the first place.

First of all, I don't like the road users here. Not just in this town, but inthe whole district, for heaven's sake! There's only one main roundabout here (the other two are in a housing area, so they count) and the people here don't even know how to use it...with some on-the-road etiquette and this thing that most Malays here are lack of - what's that word again? Oh, yes.

'Courtesy'

I hate the fact that there are no bookstores here!!!! Not even a glorious magazine stand like Farouk's, which apparently have nearly anything you ask for. Farouk had been there, like forever! From those times when I bought my first Smash Hits mag for a Duran Duran double page poster. This new town? Its even hard to get the Digital Camera magazine. There's this particular mag stand, when I asked for Digital Camera mag, simply answered "kita tak brapa jual majalah english. Tak ramai orang beli". But hey, they sell Motor Trader tho. Hmmmmm

Here we have one Pizza Hut, 2 KFCs, one Old Town White Coffee (but already closed down)...and oh yes, one Secret Recipe outlet. Ohh! And a cinema, but with really expensive tickets. Dang!

The drivers here love to switch lanes as they please without indicating. They love hogging on the fast lanes. And their ultimate favorite? They don't like to indicate at all, at all.

How I love my new town.

coward?

Whenever I am pissed with someone, I usually call my sister and tell her about it. Letting all the energy and anger flowing out in the exact 'proper' language and intonation feels good - especially having my sister who is apparently, forever and always....on my side.
After that, I'd feel better.
You name it - colleague at work, stupid driver in the street, brainless shopper during grocery shopping, idiotic bosses. After I let it all out, I feel better.

Someone, told me - "why won't you tell that person off? all you ever do is complain."

Long pause....no answer.
